Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya (SSVV), located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is a premier institution dedicated to the study and preservation of Sanskrit literature and Indian philosophical traditions. Established in 1791 as the Government Sanskrit College, it was elevated to university status in 1958 and renamed in 1974 to honor Dr. Sampurnanand, a former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh .
